Projects Implemented

The Ministry also supports external aided projects in the water supply and sanitation sector. So far 17 projects have been implemented with World Bank/French assistance. The details are as under:

Projects under Implementation


The Construction of Mas Gravity Concrete Dam across the River Umiew to impound sufficient water for the Greater Shillong Water Supply Scheme.
The Intake Structure of the Greater Shillong Water Supply Project
The approach bridge carries the delivery main of size 2 x 600 mm.

The Column Assembly of the pumps installed in the Intake structure.

Currently, 10 projects are in different stages of implementation. The details are as under:
